THE DAREDEVIL DAMSEL
An animated storyboard, created as a small demo for a potential pitch presentation project. A short, self-contained humorous narrative with a twist at the end. It was created entirely in Adobe Premiere, and meant to show my video editing skills.
The theme for this project is "Escape", and as somone who thoroughly enjoys fantasy media, I recognise the prevailing trope of the damsel in distress, typically a young, conventionally attractive woman in need of rescuing by a heroic male hero figure. With this project, I wanted to create something that plays with this trope, subverting it into something more interesting and original. So, we end up with this narrative of the kidnapped damsel, eventually bored of waiting for her shining knight, taking her fate into her own hands, and rescuing herself, and standing up to her assailants.
